“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
-Hebrews 12:1-2

Welcome to Saltillo High School Cross Country and Track.
The Cross Country program was started at Saltillo in 1990. Since then the Tigers have enjoyed success on the individual and team levels. Saltillo has been division champion 25 times and state champion 11 times. Don McBrayer, Kayla Hauss, Heather Moore, Seth Covington, Zach Covington, Lealand Flanagan and Alyssa Kelley have been individual state champions. 18 Tiger runners have continued their careers past high school with college cross country scholarships. Saltillo Cross Country continues to attract quality athletes and looks for success in the future.
The Saltillo High School Track program has a much longer history, starting in the 1950’s. Several Tiger athletes have won state championships. Trent Sanderson, Don McBrayer, Natalie Bruce, Kayla Hauss, Seth Covington, Zach Covington and Lealand Flanagan have won multiple state championships in distance events. As Track continues to grow and develop at Saltillo, we look for great things in the future.
